Why Is My Car A/C Not Cold?

When your A/C isn't cooling, the cause could be in several places — the compressor, the condenser, the expansion valve, or the refrigerant charge. An inspection is the way to find out which.

Common A/C causes

Warm A/C can come from low refrigerant, a compressor that isn't engaging, a restricted condenser, an expansion valve issue, or a problem with the blend door that mixes hot and cold air. Each has different symptoms and a different fix.

Weak airflow is different

If the air is cold but the airflow is weak, the issue may be a clogged cabin air filter, a blower motor problem, or a duct obstruction. A cabin air filter replacement is one of the simplest A/C-related services.

We inspect before recommending

A/C service starts with inspecting the system and identifying the cause. We don't just recharge refrigerant — we find out what your A/C actually needs before recommending any repair.
